The architecture will be the protagonist in Veteco 2008

It's a call for proposals of particular interest to the collective of architects, builders and decorators, which organizes Veteco usually and conferences that address some of the current issues in this area, as well as their awards. On the one hand, their Asefave Veteco Awards have already called (by the Spanish Association of manufacturers of Windows and facades light, sponsor of the same), serving its eighth edition and that distinguishes the best Windows, light facades, end of career with façade light projects, as well as innovation. In addition, on this occasion it will be held the competition of design of Stands Coam Veteco, already in its fourth edition, designed precisely to highlight the importance of the design of the exhibition spaces.
In all these initiatives, it has the support of both of the official College of architects of Madrid, Coam, as the Superior Council of colleges of architects of Spain, CSCAE, also supporting the fair.
The positive experience of Veteco has IFEMA forced a number of measures to continue allowing the future development of the call. Among the most important new features, it should be noted the transfer of the pageant to even-numbered wards, 2, 4, 6 and 8, in addition to the new, 12 and 14, as well as a realignment in dates, at the request of the sector itself. The show will take place on 6-May 9, 2008, in the Feria de Madrid. The main reason for the change of location is the commercial success in the 11th edition of the international salon of the window and the glass enclosure, Veteco 2006, between 10 and 13 May of last year, beating all records for participation. In particular, welcomed 552 direct exhibitors (which led to an increase of 1.5% for 2004) and 781 represented companies; It reached the 44.446,5 square meters contracted, i.e. 6 per cent more, and it was visited by 36.137 professionals, with an increase of 3.4 per cent. All this growth, coupled with the great reception that is taking its next call, has encouraged a fair that occurs with the best prospects. In fact, its organizers expected an occupation of about 56,000 square metres, almost 12,000 more than in the last edition of 2006.
VETECO will come to offer the platform more representative of an industry that in Spain stands out for its high competitive level, which occupies the third position in Europe in this segment. A comprehensive proposal that will pick up the products of the sections of Windows (in its modes of aluminum, wood, PVC and steel); ceilings and skylights; structural glazing; light facades; glass; machinery (also of aluminium, wood, PVC and steel); accessories and fittings; automatic systems; coatings; solar protection, blinds and awnings; Gates commercial, industrial and garage; silicone sealants and boards, and information technology.
