The factory in Cartagena of Ercros, registered in the European register of management and environmental audit EMAS

AENOR also granted to the Centre, at the end of November, the certification of the system of environmental management according to the standard UNE - EN ISO 14001: 2004, which standardises environmental management of the centres of production in the world according to standard rules, and the system of management of quality according to the standard UNE - EN ISO 9001: 2000, the most demanding of this range, which affects in particular in the management of the quality in all the process of the activity, continuous improvement and evaluation of the satisfaction of the clients.
The European EMAS registration is voluntary in nature and promotes the continuous improvement of the environmental performance of enterprises through the introduction of a system of environmental management, systematic and periodic evaluation and objective of this systemthe information to the public and interested parties, and the training and active involvement of employees. For Ercros production represents an important advance in the company's environmental commitment, because that is the accreditation more demanding at European level in this area. The participation of the staff of the Centre has been decisive for achieving this accreditation, which covers the processes of production and/or marketing of various products from the factory.
The factory of Ercros in Cartagena, opened in June 2004, had already been the first industry in the region of Murcia in adapting to the law 16/2002 of prevention and integrated Control of pollution, known by its initials in EnglishIPPC. Ercros used the best available techniques in the design and construction of the plant and in the process of manufacture of the product, which does not produce solid effluents or fluids or industrial waste and emissions to the atmosphere are significantly lower than those established by current legislation. Ercros has formal systems of environmental management and quality in all its manufacturing centres and carries out appropriate official controls of verification. Currently, all divisions of Ercros are accredited according to the ISO 14001 standard and the ISO 9001: 2000. Also, the center of Tarragona was registered in July 2005, in the EMAS register and is expected to be the centres of Monzón (Huesca), Palos de la Frontera (Huelva), Sabiñánigo (Huesca) and Vila-Seca (Tarragona), which have already exceeded the corresponding auditto obtain the registration in the coming months.
