The director-manager of Metropolitan, Andrés Muñoz of God, has received the renewal of the certification of Universal Accessibility of hands of the general director of Aenor, Avelino Brito, recognising like this no only the commitment of Metropolitan with the society, but the referent that supposes the Tram of Tenerife for the rest of the sector of the transport.
The act of delivery, developed in the Noble Living room of the Insular Corporation, has had the presence of the president of the Cabildo Insular of Tenerife and of Metropolitan, Carlos Alonso; of the president Cermi Canarian, Francisco Javier Bencomo; of the director of Aenor in Canaries, José Luis Mataix, as well as of representatives of diverse communities of disability.
Carlos Alonso has signalled the importance “to have a tram for all. From the first moment in that it decided do the project took into account to the communities of disabled, with which keep a permanent dialogue. Our aim was to do a metre of accessible Tenerife. Today we have renewed the certification in Universal Accessibility and keep the firm commitment with the society of Tenerife to follow having a tram for all”.
By his part, Avelino Brito said that “the certification of Universal Accessibility to the Tram of Tenerife guarantees the equality of opportunities in the access, use and enjoy of his services to all the people, with independence of his age or disability. All have to gladden us that every time there are more organisations that take into account the needs of the people with disability”.
Precisely has been the collaboration of the communities of the disability (Or, Fasican, Funcasor, Apanate, Coordinator of People with Disability of Canaries, Foundation In Pié, Collective Want to Move us, etc.), the one who has allowed to identify and implant the necessary actions to achieve a tram of all the citizens and visitors of the island of Tenerife, independently of his capacities or disabilities.
