Acciona Water receives the certificate Aenor of Management of the Power

Acciona Waters has obtained the certificate of the System of Management of the Power according to the requirements of the international Norm ISO 50001, that concedes the Spanish Association of Normalisation and Certification (Aenor). This certificate accredits the commitment of Acciona Waters with the energetic efficiency and the continuous improvement and supposes a value added for the organisations, because of his advantages: help to reduce the consumption of power, the financial costs associated and the broadcasts of gases of effect invernadero; besides, the companies that obtain this certificate of increasing form are valued positively in the public contractings.

The obtaining of this certification engloba inside the Plan Director of Sustainability of Acciona: it reinforces his continuous commitment with the sustainable development and strengthens the recognition to his will to reduce the broadcast of gases of effect invernadero, the efficient utilisation of the resources and the improvement of the labour conditions of his employees. The scope of the certification ISO 50001 to Acciona Water includes all the activity of operation and maintenance (in plants of treatment of drinkable water, residual urban and desalinisation of salty waters and of sea), as well as the management of services of supply of drinkable water (catchment, potabilización, distribution, management of credited) and sewerage.

Spain is the second country of the world by number of certificates of the System of Management of the Power according to the norm ISO 50001, according to the last report of the International Organisation of Normalisation (ISO). The growth of this certificate all over the world in 2012 was of 332%, in the second year in which it analyses his world-wide implantation.

The certification according to ISO 50001 constitutes an useful and effective tool to improve the exert energetic; give fulfillment of form continues to the valid legislation in the matter; facilitate the committed of the Energetic Agents, and implant and realizar the follow-up of pertinent performances of energetic auditss.
