New international norm ISO to improve the hygiene Vial

The past 17 September took place a day organised by Aenor (Spanish Association of Normalisation and Certification) and the Foundation Pons to present the new international norm whose aim is to improve the hygiene Vial. The norm ISO 39001 establishes the requirements to implant and develop a System of Management of the hygiene Vial in the breast of the organisations. And has like main objective improve the hygiene of his operations, reducing the siniestralidad in the companies. The norm is certificable by third independent part.

This norm covers the appearances that can influence in the hygiene, from taking into account the design and state of the roads, until the speed of driving, going through a safe planning of the trip or the use of personal equipment of hygiene Vial. The day has been inaugurated by Mónica Colás, general deputy director of Intervention and Political Viales of the General Steering of Traffic (DGT), Jaime Fontanals, director of new products of Aenor, and Maria Jesús Magro, director of the Foundation Pons.

Mónica Colás has stood out that: “An aim inside the companies has to be the prevention of labour risks in the area of hygiene Vial and with small investments by part of the company, obtain big results thanks to the effect multiplicador”. Colás Has finalised his report commenting: “This norm is the ideal point of meeting as has a so wide vision that it is adaptable to any company, being a firm strategy in which work in the next years”.

Maria Jesus Magro, director of the Foundation Pons, has recalcado that: “This norm is headed to public and private entities, for any one that his workers displace in mission or in itinere”. And it has stood out the profits of the norm, among others: “Reduce the incidences of accidents of traffic, improve the competitiveness, establish indicators of risks and establish systematic to evaluate the degree of fulfillment of the legal requirements of hygiene Vial”.

In the day also have participated exposing his point of view, first experts of the sector, as Agustín Sanchez-Toledo, manager of hygiene and Health in the work of Aenor; Francisco Paz, expert in hygiene Vial of the Foundation Pons, Agustín Galdón Medina, responsible of learning of companies of the Institute of hygiene Vial of the Foundation Mapfre, and Miguel Muñoz Strong, corporate director of hygiene of Alsa. This company of transport of travellers by road has turned into the first company that attains the certificate Aenor of hygiene Vial as ISO 39001. And it has been Maria of the Sea Alarcón Spanish, general director of work and manager of the Regional Institute of hygiene and Health in the work, the one who has finalised the act with some words to the participants.

The Foundation Pons and Aenor will present this norm in Barcelona the Thursday, 19 September, in a day that will celebrate in the headquarters of the Foundation Pons in the city (Council of Ciento, 367).
