The Committee articulates in base to a Committee of Coordination and Follow-up, and 5 Subcomités devoted to specific areas of development inside the intelligent cities:

- Subcomité SC 2: 'indicators and Semantic'
- Subcomité SC 3: 'Government and Mobility'
- Subcomité SC 4: 'Power and Environingingment'
- Subcomité SC 5: 'tourist Destinations'
The set up of the Committee has been possible thanks to the signature in December of 2012 of an agreement between the Spanish Association of Normalisation and Certification (Aenor) and the Office of State of Telecommunications and for the Information Society of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade (Setsi) with the end to boost the normalisation in the field of the Intelligent Cities and contribute to his implantation and deployment in Spain. This Committee is the manager of the broadcast of the national posture in front of the questions that pose in the International Committees of Intelligent Cities and will elaborate technical norms and national documents that give answer to the existent demands in the national industry and in the Public Administrations.
Inycom will contribute to the Committee his vision and experience in the field of the TIC, that play a fundamental paper in the conversion of the municipal infrastructures in intelligent services, like the improvement of the urban environingingment, the waste treatment, the management of the water or of the energetic resources and, even, do partícipes to the citizens in the taking of decisions that affect them.
