Zehnder becomes the benchmark for passive houses comfort ventilation

With the installation of the Zehnder Comfosystems system in the Asturian House 'Entreencinas', the mark Switzerland becomes reference of ventilation for passive houses.
Located in a rural setting, Entreencinas is part of a set of four houses. It is built under the principles of bioclimatic design to achieve very low levels of energy consumption. The realized solution respects the scale of the environment integrating housing in the landscape, in a single compact volume in two heights, open to the South as a solar collector, and maintaining a height lower than the tops of the trees in the environment.
With the premise 'the best power is which is not consumed' was created housing as self-sufficient as possible. The thermal envelope of Cork without very good seal and thermal bridges minimizes losses by infiltration and the double glazed low emissivity, average thermal transmission is 0, 2W/m2K.

In Entreencinas installed comfort ventilation system is Zehnder Comfosystems. It's a full ventilation system with very low power consumption and provides comfort, well-being and health. Zehnder system enters the House continuously fresh air, eliminating moisture and odors. It favors the rest because its special filters prevent the entry of dust and pollen and thereby prevent allergies. Energy saving is another factor to take into account, thanks to the recovery of heat, more than 90%, energy saving housing in heating and cooling is 50%.
Passive House means a virtually autonomous building in terms of usability and air conditioning needs. It is a building very well isolated, virtually airtight, which is heated mainly by solar and metabolic contributions of its inhabitants. A passive house can not exceed2 15\1kWh\2m consumptionyear for heating/cooling. And thanks to the sum of its insulation, air-tightness and comfort with heat recovery ventilation, save energy between 85% and 90%, when compared to a non-passive housing.
The Passivhaus certificate, granted by the Passivhaus Institut in Germany, is the world standard that certifies that a home meets building standards set by this Institute.
