Mapei collaborates with the labour construction Foundation training in rehabilitation

Mapei has signed a collaboration agreement with the Fundación Laboral de la construcción, with materials and innovative techniques. On behalf of the company, the director of the technical assistance ofIbermapei, Gabriel Angel Ortín Rull, signed the agreement through which practices and training courses will be designed. In addition, the Convention envisages the development of a plan for training of trainers, aimed at teachers and monitors, which will take place in September and will be integrated into a project called 'Rehabilitation, training through practical courses'.
The courses that will be offered will last for 30 hours, of which 80% will be practices. To this end, new materials have been divided into five families: adhesives; isolates; repair mortars; coating mortars; (e) waterproofing/damp. From these training units will be designed.
Gabriel Ortín said during the event that "training is absolutely necessary, because our products are not finished products that are purchased in a shop and put in your House on a shelf, they are semi-finished products, which require techniques and procedures that must be known in advance".

Enrique Corral, director-general of the Labour Foundation, referred also to the importance of continuing in the way of training: "the construction professionals need recycled and know to handle materials and more advanced techniques, especially in these times of restructuring of the sector".
