BigMat Expands the term for the presentation of registers to his Prizes of architecture

As in all previous editions, the award reflects the commitment of the BigMat group with the construction sector and aims to promote the national and international prestige of its professionals. Award fixed their attention in rehabilitations integrated within the urban or rural environment and in the use of materials from the environment. This first edition of the Grand Prix international architecture BigMat´13 aims also to promote a "more friendly" world socially and structurally and emphasize those projects that combine to improve the environment of people with architectural excellence. The idea is to select those works can also create a space that contributes to the native culture and adapt to the needs of its inhabitants.
The award focuses on architects with place of business in any of the five countries mentioned, which compete for the country in which have residence; works must have been built in the country of residence. The award considers all finished works from 01/01/2005 to 01/01/2013.
A prize is established by each of the countries, for which finalists will be selected three projects by country, among the twenty projects that pass to the second phase in each country. The five winning entries will compete for the Grand Prize international architecture, BigMat 2013. Among the fifteen projects by country, there will be a special mention of young architects by country.
The great architecture BigMat´13 international award is a prize of 30,000. There is also a second category from four Premios BigMat´13 of 5,000 and ten BigMat´13 finalists who will receive 1,500. The jury will be composed by an architect of recognized prestige of each of the countries. The President of the same shall be Jesús Aparicio and Secretary Jesús Donaire. The awards ceremony will take place on November 22 in Granada and will be borne by Lorenzo de la Villa, President of BigMat Spain.
