Metre of Madrid obtains the certificate of Quality ISO 9001 of Aenor

Metre of Madrid has received the certificate of the System of Gestión of the Quality according to the norm ISO 9001, that concedes the Spanish Association of Normalisation and Certification (Aenor). Of this form, Metre of Madrid turns into the first suburban of Spain that attains the certificate IS0 9001 of Aenor for all the network. The viceconsejero of Transports, Infrastructures and House of the Community of Madrid, Borja Carabante, has received the recognition of hands of the general director of Aenor, Avelino Brito.

The scope of the certification includes the design and application of the offer of services of transport of Metre of Madrid (schedules of trains, opening and closing of halls, attention and information to the traveller, claims, intervention and sale) treatment of incidences that affect to the circulation and infrastructures and supervision of works related with the circulation. ISO 9001 is the tool of gestión of the most extended quality in the world with more than one million certificates in 180 countries. This certificate accredits that the organisation fulfils with the requirements that establishes the Norm ISO 9001 and that has implanted a System of Gestión of Quality that bets by the continuous improvement.

His advantages are three, fundamentally: it improves the processes and deletes the costs —included the directly monetary— of the ‘no quality'; it attains a greater implication of the professionals when achieving the very done work and of sustainable form and, besides, comports a greater convicción in the transmission of the commitment with the quality to all the publics of an organisation.

Spain is the fourth country of the world and second of Europe by number of certificates of Quality ISO 9001, with more than 53.000 recognitions, according to the last report of the International Organisation of Normalisation (ISO).

This certificate adds to other obtained by Metre of Madrid, as the one who accredits that it has implanted a System of Environingingmental Gestión ISO 14001; the one of of Gestión of the hygiene and Health in the Work OHSAS 18001; projects of R&D and the certificates of Mark N of Quality of the Service of Public Transport of Passengers according to the norm JOINS-IN 13816.

In the sector of the public transport of passengers, Aenor has issued near of 700 certificates that support the competitiveness of the organisations and the improvement of the quality of the service; by types, the most numerous are the more than 400 certificates according to the norm JOINS-IN 13816; to continuation, situate the more than 200 certificates of the System of Gestión of the Quality according to ISO 9001 and the almost hundred of recognitions according to ISO 14001.
