Created the Spanish committee of norms on Intelligent Cities

Aenor (Spanish Association of Normalisation and Certification) and Setsi (Office of State of Telecommunications and for the Information Society of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade) have signed an agreement to boost the normalisation in the field of the Intelligent Cities and contribute, of this way, to his implantation and deployment in Spain. The agreement supports the set up, by part of Aenor, the responsible entity of the development of the technical norms in our country, of the Technical Committee of Normalisation AEN/CTN 178 of Intelligent Cities, that will give coverage to the normalisation of a new model of urban development that allow to manage of sustainable and intelligent form the cities.

The technical norms contain the best practices and the consensus of the market with regard to the best form to tackle important processes for the organisations and for the society in general. The norms elaborate with the participation of the parts involved in each case, being near at hand of all.

The agreement has been subscribed by the general director of Aenor, Avelino Brito, and the secretary of State of Telecommunications and for the Information Society, Víctor Calvo-Sotelo, in the opening act of the meeting of constitution of the Technical Committee of Normalisation of Intelligent Cities, celebrated in the headquarters of the Setsi.
