Safety brakes: for static applications and slow movement

Picture of Safety brakes
This safety device is able to endure, not only the maximum weight of the tail-lift, but also the maximum rated load added to the forklift.

The device is applied to static applications and also to block during a slow movement, as may occur with the forklift.

The system is kept open by hydraulic or pneumatic pressure (depending on model). Blocking is done at the moment in which need pressure on the springs. The force is done through the weight of the forklift that pushes a cone clamp with the force of friction that is created in the bar, in the interior of the device. The bigger the weight, more conical clamp tightens to stop the weight. This process takes place over a period of time fast.

This principle of operation gets a very high level of security, since it does not allow the locking unit is opened under load. To unlock, reset the pressure and, at the same time, a small reversal upwards, is made to open the cradle of the clamp.

This principle follows exactly the standard that describes that the safety device may not be removed until the tail-lift is not again held.

Technical characteristics: - safety brake, unable to unlock with load - for static applications and slow movements - maximum weight up to 40 tons - tracking through inductive position sensors - 100% proven quality
