Drives piñón-cremallera with preload
The application of of these drives in milling machines, lathes and machining centers enables to reach high values of precision in the positioning and contouring, repeatability, stiffness and performance.
Redex is the only manufacturer of drives piñón-cremallera capable of applying preload electrical or mechanical in its units.
Mechanical preload DualDRIVE system patented by Redex eliminates completely the angular game throughout the system. DualDRIVE system is powered by an engine only, without a special driver.
Redex also has its version of electrical preload, TwinDRIVE, where a pinion transmits the drive, while the other acts as a brake. This solution requires two servo motors, one for each reducer and a sophisticated control system to achieve preload at all stages of the process. In what refers to the change in the magnitude of the preload is a more flexible solution, however, requires a greater know-how in programming and capacity of the CNC control. Also, the overall price is usually greater than version of mechanical preloading.
Another unique feature in the drives in both versions of preload Redex piñón-cremallera, is the incorporation of a cast iron housing. Your contact for mounting on machine surfaces are ground and fitted with interns holes that allow its adaptation on the machine in a very simple way that we could be called plug & play. The casing makes it possible both incorporate the system of electrical preload as mechanics, which could make it possible to test both systems in a prototype without having to modify the design of the machine. In addition, thanks to the possibility of incorporating cónico-espirales gearboxes Klingelnberg type HPG-S quality carved after heat treatment, Redex drives allow the positioning of the engine (s) in any configuration, in line with the reducers or at an angle of 90 degrees. Redex also offers its KIT version of these drives, without casing.
The 6 steps of boxes are available with 6 ratios of reduction between 22 and 140. The high values of torsional stiffness (up 1,134 Nm/arcminute) and rigidity radial (up to 960 N/µm), together with the design of eje-piñón integrated directly into the reducer, allow diameters of more reduced and, as a result output pinion, higher values of natural frequency, always above 20 Hz.
All units are proven and tested: trials of rigidity, noise, temperature, etc.
