Atlas Copco launches a subterranean ‘application' for mobile devices

With the increasing use of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, Atlas Copco has begun to take advantage of to the maximum the technology of the applications to provide to his customers a fast and simple access to the information.

The division Underground Rock Excavation has been the first of the company in deepening in the world of the applications. With the new free application, the users will be able to consult the wide range of equipment of perforación frontal subterranean, loaders and trucks, amongst other products of the company.

The exclusive content of the application includes images in high resolution presented like figures giratorias in 3D, what allows to see the products from all the angles. Besides, the content can synchronise to consult it without being connected to Internet.

Paula Blamberg, vice-president of Communications of Marketing of Underground Rock Excavation, says: "Because of the increasingly extended use of new mobile devices, and taking into account the possibilities of these devices, think that this technology has an incredible potential to simplify the access to our products for our customers, the means and other important contacts. Never it has been so easy to share information. We can transfer images or technical specifications with only touch a button. Put in contact with an office of Atlas Copco is very simple, since the function GPS direct to the user directly to the nearest representative”.

In addition to technical data, images in 3D and videos, the application includes cases of study and social novelties.

Presented in the stand of Atlas Copco of Intermat, the application is available in the App Store of Apple from finals of April and in Google Play to finals of May.
