New generation of Bobcat telescopic handlers
on April 27, 2011
Models of the new generation TL replaces the earlier telescopic handlers T2556, T2566 and T3571. The TL360 model, with its characteristics and variety of configurations, replaced both the T2556 and the T2566, while the TL470 will replace the telescopic handlers models T3571 and T3571HD.
The TL360 and the TL470 are equipped with an engine diesel Perkins 1104D-44T 74.5 kW and they offer a standard hydraulic flow, through a gear of 100 liters/min pump. Telescopic handlers TL360 and TL470 have a capacity of elevation of 3.0 and 3.5 tons, respectively. Both machines, to the maximum lift height, offer a capacity of 3.0 tons. The maximum range of the TL360 model is 3,365 mm, while that of the TL470 is 4.002 mm. The elevation at its maximum range capacity is 1,300 and 1,500 kg, respectively.
Unprecedented visibility
Thanks to a new patented asymmetric cab design, the right rear corner is completely free of structural components, which offers the operator visibility without precedent and without hindrance in the rear of the machine. In addition, the place of articulation of the lower boom further enhances the visibility. The rounded front windscreen offers complete visibility of attachment to any height, as well as the pen extensions. This ensures that the operator can control and pay attention to the load at all times, which significantly improves the productivity and security.
In order to create a more comfortable environment for the operator, the CAB has expanded. This, in combination with the design of the round and covered with high-strength glass cockpit, offers the operator an airy and spacious working environment. All the controls are ergonomically designed and positioned for maximum ease of use. The screen of the electronic board provides an excellent overview of the performance of the machine operator.
An optional glass door further increases the visibility towards the left side of the telescopic handle, so it is easier to maneuver in restricted areas and moving safely close to buildings and structures. The glass door gives the operator an excellent spatial awareness at all times, which reduces the risk of damaging the machine or the surrounding objects.
The function of advance/retreat is situated in the remote controller to facilitate the operation of the machine. The direction of driving is selected at the touch of a button, while the operator can continue holding the steering wheel as the remote controller. This allows changes quick and easy between addresses forward and backward, with a capacity of optimal reaction of the operator, as well as a complete and secure all the functions of the machine domain.
Designed to last
With the TL range design and development of telescopic handlers go a step further. On the basis of the concepts used for the versatile model T2250, "but incorporating experience and professional knowledge, the end result is a new range of telescopic handlers not only robust and reliable, but also powerful and agile", explained from Bobcat Company.
A new structure very robust main, with an especially protected chassis design guarantees maximum resistance and safety, providing a long and productive life of the machine. The design of the pen, with a fully integrated pen, head of greater cross-section and a superposition of a long boom, ensures that TL models are designed to be handled at the most difficult cargo works.
Maintenance and service
The new TL telescopic handlers are designed so that the minimum maintenance and service operations are very simple. All TL models have an engine of lateral Assembly that provides an easy and secure access to the main points of maintenance of the engine. The battery is placed in the front of the engine compartment to facilitate accessibility, while the filters are placed strategically to make it possible to replace them quickly and easily.
Standard features include a switch of electronic drums and equipment on board diagnosis that contribute to the high reliability of the machine to ensure the maximum time of activity. All the important areas are covered and protected from external agents when the machine is in operation, providing a longer life and reduced risk of damage to the components. The holes in access with lids can be removed quickly, and are strategically placed in the main structure.
Wide range of options and tools
A wide range of optional requirements, including a travel speed of 40 kilometers per hour, suspension of the pen and 190 liters/minute load sensing pump, allows the generation of new telescopic handlers be customize according to the requirements of each job. On the other hand, a complete range of tools available to ensure that TL telescopic handlers can perform a wide variety of applications.
