Recovery of plastic waste for the production of cement

The line of treatment provided by SPR is capable of processing 15 tons of plastic waste every hour. The forecast is that every year are dealt with 35,000 tons that, otherwise, would end up deposited in a landfill. Medium-term is estimated that the plant of Castillejo will reach a level of replacement of Coke from 25% to 30%.
Plastic waste arriving at the facility are crushed and screened. The heavy elements and the elements both ferrous and non-ferrous metal are then separated, by various automatic procedures. At the end of the process the product is again crushed to reduce it to an optical size less than 30 mm.
Waste to be processed
Waste processed comes from the collection of municipal waste. His composition consists, basically, lightweight plastic that has been impossible to recycle previously and whose only fate would have been the dump.
The material is prepared Bale, whose dimensions are usually 1,200 mm long, 900 mm in height and 800 mm wide, flejadas annealing wire of 3 to 4 mm in diameter. The approximate each bullet density 400 kg/m3.
The bullets are taken by 93.5% by combustible materials. The rest of his composition are improper large (2%), improper heavy (3%) and metals (1.5%).
Among other plastic compounds, there are film, PET, HDPE, PEBD, PS, expanded PS and PE strapping on bullets. The humidity of the material does not exceed 5%.
