Argilès wins the prize for technological innovation in the fair of Sant Miquel

The company Argilès Disseny i rugs, of Miralcamp (Lleida), with the collaboration of the Valencian Institute of agricultural research, has been the first prize for technological innovation and safety in the design of agricultural machines, equipped with 3,000 euros, for a new machine for assistance in the collection and classification in citrus fields. The most important highlight of this novelty aspects are the design of the Ribbon collection, which allows adaptation to the plantations in glass; the previous separation of the product with industrial destination; the classification of the fruit by weight (gravimetric) with the machine in motion during the harvest, the geometry of the vehicle which, with three axes, allows for maneuverability in a small turning radius.
Also, the jury has decided to grant the second prize to Jympa 1971, Castellserà (Lleida), on the presentation of the subsolador-ranurador model SJ-CR5, while the third award has been up to Hispaes of Sant Feliu de Codines (Barcelona), by the Master Vintage AE400a rotating laptop to clarify flowers and small fruits.
12Th competition of innovations in the fruit Sector
Greefa-Rubinat Electrònica Industrial, Golmés (Lleida), has received the first prize in the competition of innovations in the fruit Sector, worth 1,000 euros, for the presentation of a drain of pallets in a raft of water. This team adapts to all kinds of fruit, so that float in water (apples) such as those that do not (pears). The most important features are the automatic system of stacker of pallets and feeder of the machine, automatic control of all movements with millimeter precision and the adaptation of the speed of the modules to the quantity of product. It is important to highlight the incorporation of specially designed electronic circuits that allow to store energy in moments of the process that is not needed for this new team (decrease and stop of the pallets).
Also it has been decided to grant the second prize, worth 500 euros, Cedis Mafrut from Alcarras (Lleida), by the robot of automatic lace for baskets of fruit, model Speed Packer Panier.
Awards were presented on September 29, 2008, coinciding with the closing of the fair of Sant Miquel and Eurofruit Hall ceremony. The jury was composed by experts designated by the sponsors and Fira de Lleida.
"We must rejoice because in a year of apparent economic difficulties, the fair of Sant Miquel has weathered well," said Àngel Ros, Mayor of Lleida and President of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation La Fira de Lleida. The double exhibition demonstration made up of the fair of Sant Miquel and lounge Eurofruit has closed the doors with a balance of more than 185,000 visitors, of which approximately have been 33,000 professionals, very similar to the last editing figures. Instead, the 42 technical conferences held within the framework of the fair have rallied registered 3,970, 10 percent more than in 2007.
The Mayor of Lleida also has referred to the high level of satisfaction of the exhibitors, both in regards to the number of contacts made as a closed commercial operations. Precisely, the Director General of Fira de Lleida, Oriol Oró, explained that some tractors and agricultural equipment already had hung the poster of 'selling'. He prayed has taken advantage of the presentation of the balance of the event to ensure that Fira de Lleida will boost the presence of visitors in future editions.
