The sales of industrial vehicles of occasion start the year with a growth of 10%

According to the last report realizar by IEA for Ganvam, in the accumulated of January to February of 2014, the total market of industrial vehicles of occasion had obtained a total volume of 57.815 units, what supposes a growth of 10,7% concerning the same period of 2013. By segments, the derivatives and vans, the commercial means and the tractocamiones have been those that better results have obtained.

In the accumulated of January to February of 2014 have sold 3,2 industrial vehicles of occasion by each sale of new vehicle, in front of the relation of 4,2/1 that registered in the same period of the 2013.

By stretches of antiquity, in the two first months of the year all obtained growths in his sales, standing out in this sense the increase lived in the vehicles with less than three years in circulation (+34,2%).

With regard to the distribution according to the stretches of age analysed, in the accumulated until February the vehicles with less than three years increase his participation with regard to 2013 in 1,8 points in the total sales, until reaching 10,3% of the total; the vehicles between 3 and 5 years lose five tenth and situate in 10% of the market; the vehicles between five and ten years yield 2,8 points, supposing at present 33,3% of the total sales; and the vehicles of more than ten years, with an increase of 1,5 points porcentuales, represent 46,4% of the total of industrial vehicles used.

The derivatives and vans of occasion have obtained an increase of 13,8% between January and February of 2014. The contribution of this segment to the result of the total market of industrial vehicle is of 5,8 points porcentuales, and the relation vehicle occasion/new vehicle situates in 2,6 (in the same period of 2013 was of 3,6). By stretches of antiquity, the ones of less than three years grow 39,6%, the comprised between 3 and 5 years do it 24,8%, those that have between 5 and 10 years descend 1,7%, and the ones of more than 10 years obtain an increase of 16%.

The vehicles pick up obtain in the accumulated of January to February a growth of 12,5%, with a positive contribution to the result of the group of industrial vehicle of 0,36 points. The relation vehicle of occasion/new vehicle situates in 3,2 (3,7 in the same period of 2013).

By stretches of age, descend the pick up of less than three years 16,7% and those that are between three and five years, 7,8%, By the contrary, grow the comprised between five and ten years 6,8% and the ones of more than ten years, 32,6%.

The light industrial vehicles of occasion, with weights between 3,5 and 6 tonnes, have obtained in this period a descent of 2,1%, with an insignificant negative contribution to the result of the group of the industrial vehicles, since only it represents 0,9%. With regard to the ages, the ones of less than three years grow 50%, the comprised between three and five years descend 15%, those that are between five and ten years go down 0,9% and the ones of more than ten years fall 5,4%.

In the two first months of the year, the market of light vehicles of occasion, with weights between 6 and 16 tonnes, accumulates a descent of 2,2%, with a negative contribution to the result of the total market of inferior industrial vehicle to a tenth. In the accumulated of January to February of 2014, the segment of the tractocamiones of occasion shows a growth of 4,7%, with a positive contribution to the group of the industrial vehicles of three tenth. The relation vehicle of occasion/new vehicle situates in 2,0 (2,9 in the same period of 2013).

Regarding the age of the vehicles, only the comprised between three and five years have registered a descent (-17,5%), while they grow the ones of less than three years, those that are between five and ten years, and those that have more than ten years, 15%, 5,4% and 17% respectively.

The sales of vehicle of occasion of the segment of buses have obtained in the period of January-February of 2014 an increase of 8,4%, with a positive contribution of a tenth to the total of industrial vehicle. The relation vehicle of occasion/new vehicle situates in 2,5 (in front of the 1,5 of the same period of 2013).

With regard to the stretches of age, the vehicles of less than three years grow 59,5%, the comprised between the three and the five years retreat 31,4%, those that have between five and ten years grow 7,6%, and the ones of more than ten years go up 9,5%.

By type of buyer, in the accumulated of January to February of 2014, all improve the results with regard to the same period of 2013. The autonomous (NIF) obtain a growth interanual of 5,8%, with 61,0% of the sales of vehicle of total occasion. The companies (CIF) increase his shopping 20,6% and a participation of 34,6%, and the RAC reflect a growth of 10,6%, with 4,4% of the total market.

Considering so much the nature of the seller as of the buyer, 40% of the operations of the total market of industrial vehicles of occasion of the period accumulated to the month of February of 2014 have been realizar between autonomous professionals (NIF), 1,2 points porcentuales less than the obtained in said period of 2013, having increased the sales of this type of operations 7,4%. Of these operations realizar between autonomous (NIF) only obtain increase of 12,2% the vehicles of more than ten years, while they diminish 1,2%, 18,7% and 7,7% those that are between five and ten years, the comprised between three and five years and the ones of less than three years, respectively. On the other hand, in the period considered, 71,9% of the operations realizar between autonomous professionals (NIF) corresponds to vehicles of more than ten years of age, and 24,5% to vehicles from among five and ten years of antiquity, corresponding so only 3,6% remaining to vehicles of less than five years of age.

With regard to the sales realizar by ‘professionals' (companies for hire, official networks, independent sellers…), in the accumulated of the two first months of the year have increased 13,0% with regard to the same period of the 2013, with growths in all the stretches considered.

Geographic distribution

By autonomous communities, in the two first months of the year stand out the increases of all they, excepting Ceuta and Melilla that have obtained a shrinking of 15,2%, and Balearic that has fallen 2,2%. The greater growths have produced in Asturias (28,2%), Castile-La Mancha (24%) and Navarra (22,1%).
