Atlas Copco expands his innovative compressesors to 37 kW (50 CV)

The innovative range of compressesors of screw with injection of oil of Atlas Copco, launched in April of 2013, has expanded now with models of 37 kW. This revolutionary and awarded innovation in compressesors of screw with injection of oil and accionamiento of variable speed (VSD, with control by frequency) obtained an immediate acceptance of the market thanks to his energetic savings means of 50%, a jump in performance (13% more free air supplied) and a bodywork with less than the half of the size that the ancient model of fixed speed.

Atlas Copco feels very proud of the accionamiento of variable speed that entered in 1994. The compressesors with accionamiento of variable speed adapt the speed of the element of compressesion to satisfy exactly the demand of air compressesed: in a compressesor VSD standard, this means a half energetic saving of 35%. With the enlargement of the range until 37 kW, Atlas Copco offers the technology VSD⁺ to 75% of the compressesors of screw with injection of oil that sell all over the world. Especially, the variant of 37 kW (50 CV) has big possibilities in the market. The range of until 15 kW launched in April already has achieved a significant increase of what Atlas Copco designates “ratio VSD”: the relative number of units VSD on the total number of compressesors sold. With this enlargement of the range, Atlas Copco expects to improve even more this ratio, what will benefit so much to customers as to the environingingment in general.

At the same time, Atlas Copco presents like novelty of the market his ‘cycle of prevention of the condensation' for the compressesors with accionamiento of variable speed. Thanks to an algorithm in the controller of the GA VSD⁺, the Elektronikon Graphic, avoids the condensation in the oil of the compressesor in all the circumstances, even when the compressesor is sobredimensionado for the application and has to work in conditions of load extremely low (when the compressesor works during less than a minute by hour). This cycle of prevention of the condensation is another important step to the ratio 100% VSD, since it will allow to all the users of compressesors opt by an accionamiento of variable speed to save 50% in the electrical consumption of his compressesor.
