The electrical car grows 63% until August

The registrations of electrical trucks situated in 497 units in the eight first months of the year, what supposes a promotion of 63,5%, according to data of the National Association of Sellers of Vehicles to Engine (Ganvam) spread with reason of the Living room of the Vehicle and Alternative Fuel that celebrates these days in Valladolid, city that characterises by his unambiguous bet by the electrical car, since one of the most popular models manufactures in the factories of the Spanish capital.

In this line the president of Ganvam, Juan Antonio Sánchez Torres, ensured that “the ratio of sales is unambiguously increasing and the tax of development will keep in the next exercises, although the continuity of the plans of governmental help for incentivar the purchase of electrical trucks are indispensable to keep the positive rhythm reflected by the statistics”.

The data of the sales of electrical car are indicativos of a demand still very incipiente and residual, unlike the hybrids, whose sales, with 6.395 units commercialised until August -10,3% less than the previous year- strengthen them like main alternative to the traditional motorisations.

Of this form, the sellers consider that in spite of the innegable potential of future of the electrical vehicle by his low cost by kilometre, this technology still will have to save several obstacles before turning into an option of massive purchase. In fact, the Government in 2010 fixed like aim of the strategy to be followed reach 250.000 electrical vehicles circulating by the road network Spaniard in 2014, fact that evidently will not be able to fulfil, since to 1 January 2013 only 871 of these vehicles conformed the mobile park patrio.

The scarce success of the previsones has to , to a large extent, to the high price of this type of vehicles, that surpasses between two and thrice to the traditional motorisations, depending on the mark and the concrete model. To this it is necessary to add other obstacles like the fault of points of recarga, the still scarce offer of available models -less than a ten-, as well as his low autonomy in comparison with the traditional motorisations, what in the practice restricts his use to the urban field.

On the other hand, the distributors remembered that the short life with which still explain these models prevents to know which will be his future residual value in the market of used, generating like this some uncertainty that is lastrando the shopping by part of companies of renting and big companies that prefer to invest on safe in the renewal of his fleets.
