New green ‘range' of trucks and electrical shovels of Atlas Copco
The industry of the minería subterranean confronts at present to numerous challenges in matter of energetic efficiency, broadcasts of carbon and environingingmental impact. To help to satisfy these demands,

Operation with absence 100% of broadcasts diesel
The range of electrical subterranean shovels consists of two new shovels: the Scooptram EST1030 and EST14 electrical, in addition to the already existent Scooptram EST2D and EST3.5, all 100% exentas of broadcasts diesel.
“By means of the replacement of a shovel diesel of 10 tonnes by a Scooptram EST1030 electrical of Atlas Copco is possible to reduce the annual broadcasts equivalents to 140 trucks”, explains Erik Svedlund, product manager of Atlas Copco. “In addition to that the electrical shovels do not consume diesel, require a minimum of ventilation”.
Built under the platform Scooptram of Atlas Copco and accionadas by electrical motors of high efficiency, the new shovels consume less power, generate less heat and have a lower audible level that the shovels diesel. The result is a lower operative cost, a lower environingingmental impact and some better surroundings of work.
A new generator transportable, Gentrail GT325, simplifies the transport of the electrical shovel Scooptram, that can be handled like this by an alone man. With a capacity of trip of 3,6 to 14 tonnes, there is a size for each application.

The double of speed
The new subterranean trucks electrical, Minetruck EMT35 and EMT50, with a capacity of load of 35 and 50 tonnes respectively, are almost the double of fast that any truck diesel in this rank of capacity, converting like this in the most productive trucks of the world.
Erik Svedlund explains: “Taking into account the cost by tonne, the utilisation of a subterranean truck of electrical interior almost can duplicate the productivity and reduce the total cost until in 50%”.
At the same time, the electrical trucks reduce the consumption of power until 70%. The electrical motors of high efficiency accionan the axles directly, what minimises the losses by transmission. The braked regenerativo gives back the power to the network, what means that around 30% of the power that consumes when going up a rampa regenerates when going down it.
