The truck articulated for minería subterranean bigger of the world

The truck Minetruck MT85 has been designed for demanding conditions loaning special attention to the hygiene, ergonomics and comfort of the operario, for maximizar the productivity in the subterranean transport.

Ben Thompson, boss of product of the division Underground Rock Excavation of Atlas Copco, explains: “This truck is designed to work in the same dimensions of gallery that the trucks of 50 and 60 tonnes, but with a fundamental difference: his capacity of transport is of 85 tonnes, what supposes an incredible increase of the productivity thanks to the reduction of the number of trucks and the relation of tonnes/kilometres by hour”.

Thompson does upsetting in that the Minetruck MT85 also is fast and easy to manoeuvre in rampas and slopes. “This means that they need fewer cycles, what supposes a reduction of the cost of the transport in relation with the quantity of material transported. And no only this”, adds, “the new truck MT85 provides to the mining companies a more profitable form to transport mineral in the mine. It facilitates the idea to take out mineral deeper by means of rampa in place to deepen a pozo”.

The Minetruck MT85 has a big capacity (without losing his compact size) with his 3,4 m of width and 3,5 m of high, thanks to which goes in easily in galleries of 6,0 x 6,0 m. In spite of his length (14,0 m), has a radius of impressesive twist of 44 degrees, that has to largely to the steering electrohidráulica of the rear axis what gives a maximum manoeuvrability.

This truck also offers a high level of modularity and options. The box can be swung both laterally and backwards. There are two configurations of gate (with twist up or down), three alternatives of engine power (535, 760, or 1.010\1HP\2, as well as pulling in four or six wheels to meet the different needs of customers or requirements of mine.)
