Protective meshes: also suitable as a barrier to driftwood and debris
In its simplest construction, without brake rings, Geobrugg system is particularly suitable to function as a floating wooden barrier. The calculation of flexible rings for debris and Driftwood is based on tests with detailed models and full-scale field at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
Similarly as in the tests for debris barriers were measured efforts of wires into the shock and the subsequent filling of loose driftwood. The tests could cover flows of between 5 and 30 m3/s.
