Arduino Yún

Plate WiFi: they integrate the architecture of open source

Picture of Plate WiFi
This plate is the first of the range of wireless products that integrate the architecture of open source of Arduino with Linux.

Arduino “Yún”, that means "cloud" in Chinese, combines the plate Arduino Leonardo existent, based in the microcontroller Atmel ATmega32or4 of 8 bits, with a support WiFi integrated Atheros AR933 (SoC) that uses Linino, a variant of OpenWRT of MIPS GNU/Linux. The main provision of Arduino Yún is his bookshop Bridge, that allows a simple navigation in complex web services that use formats of text based in RAM as XML, delegating all the connections of network and the processing of transactions HTTP to the based in Linux.

To the equal that Arduino Leonardo, Yún has 14 pines of digital/go# out entrance, seven channels of modulation of width of pulse (PWM) and 12 analog entrances. Also it incorporates an oscillator of glass of 16 MHz and a connector microUSB, in addition to a standard connection USB type To and a connector for cards microSD compatible with PoE for additional storage. Once that the Yún lights for the first time, works like a point of access WiFi, creating a network WiFi designated “Arduino”. The plate can configure afterwards assigning a name and a password to the network WiFi.
