Fair tradition in the city of Lleida is very old and is already documented in medieval times and, more specifically, the 23 August 1232, when that King Jaime I gave to the city the privilege of celebrating an annual fair of 10 days from the day of San Miguel, in the month of September. It should be noted that during the age average Lleida fairs already had an international character, given that meet traders and merchants of Toulouse, Montpellier and other towns in the South of France.
