Pool BCN 2009 will host the 'I Congress Iberoamericano de sports and leisure facilities'

The Salon international de la Piscina (pool BCN) will host from 19 to 22 October the 'I Congress Iberoamericano de sports and leisure facilities' (Cidyr). Organized by the Ibero-American Association of sports and leisure facilities (Aia) and the Federation of associations of manufacturers of equipment and builders of pools, Saunas and Spas, Faps (Asofap-Atep) will bring together professionals from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. The celebration of this event is a good opportunity to discuss and exchange information and experiences, from an interdisciplinary point of view, on the progress that contribute to the design, construction and equipment of modern sports and recreational facilities adapted to the needs of each group. All of this to promote a not-so only sporting activity, but to improve the well-being and health of the practitioner.

The Congress is aimed at all professionals involved in the planning, administration and maintenance of spaces and facilities for physical, recreational, tourist and sporting activities, such as promoters, builders, administrators, managers, engineers, architects, sociologists, economists and policy-makers sports, among others. According to the President of the Organising Committee of the Conference, Carlos Vera "Forum will serve, inter alia, to study the factors that constitute the process of provision of sports and leisure facilities, and its relations with the socio-economic and cultural realities of each country and region"", according to the needs and interests of its people".

The next edition of BCN swimming will be held from 20 to 23 October in the Fira of Barcelona's Gran Via venue.
