A specialist in the recovery of vehicles based in Borris, County Carlow (Ireland), has chosen the
Kramer 1150 loader, equipped with a special fork of 2.5 meters long, as its main vehicle for the movement of machines. So far, the signature Car Salvage Ireland used a former excavator machine that in addition to having reached the end of its useful life, had difficulty to handle big cars and 4 x 4 vehicles. Now, Kramer machine can handle almost anything in the courtyard and move with loaded cars at a cost of 100 units per week.
The Kramer 1150 loader is equipped with a special fork of 2.5 meters in length for the movement of machines.
Brian Kelly, owner of Car Salvage Ireland, explains: "we consider various machines, including telescopic handlers, but the key factor for the final decision was the ability to Kramer to behave with ease in the limited space and with Earth due to its traction 4 wheel and its system of 4 wheels". Dennis Savage, director of the deposit, added: "the excellent visibility from the cockpit also is an important point for us because it gives the operator more confidence when working with complete security".
Car Salvage, Ireland, to be specifically for the extra long forks, can collect vehicle from the side and, when necessary, raise them easily from any of its edges, which is a big plus for stacked cars and to recover from hard to reach places.
Along with the forks, the machine has also provided with a bucket standard, very useful for General cleaning tasks
Almost 3 tons to more than 3 metres in height
Loader 1150, which came out of the local dealer Kellys Borris, recently acceded, is powered by a diesel engine Deutz water-cooled oil developed by 56 kW (76 HP) at 2,300 rpm with hydrostatic transmission, and moves with a speed ranging from 0 to 20 kilometres per hour. The machine, 5,900 kilos, is able to raise almost 3 tons at an elevation of 3,280 mm and, for this application, the customer has opted for the use of high-resistance tyres. Along with the forks, the machine has also provided with a bucket standard, very useful for General cleaning tasks.
