Interview to Carlos Martínez, commercial director of Kineo Engineering
Which balance do of his go through Trafic 2013? How it has resulted this edition for Kineo Engineering?
Did a big effort to improve our presence with regard to previous editions, with a space that duplicated the busy in 2011. We have had fewer contacts but of ‘good quality', so satisfied.
A fair like Trafic always is a good thermometer to know how is the sector. It thinks that this market follows being very affected by the cuts of the Public Administrations? It has hit rock bottom ?
Our model of business is diversified between the public sector and the private, in addition to our work out of Spain. Thanks to this are saving the crisis, and even have almost duplicated the staff, but undoubtedly other a lot of companies of the sector depend fundamentally of the public investment and this has put them in grave risk, when it has not finished with them. I trust that the investment recover , for the sake of all, no later of 2015.
In the case of Kineo Engineering, which have been the products/solve more stood out in Trafic 2013?
Kineo Engineering develops his activity in three big areas: ITS, weighing and control of accesses. In matter of greater ours traffic speciality is the conteo and vehicular classification, where dominate the main systems, with national and international references. Particularly it has interested a lot our system of determination of matrices origin/allocate by means of detection of signals bluetooth. And regarding systems of capacity continues our bet by the use of piezoelectric sensors combined with the traditional espiras. It is a modular system that integrates recognition of matrículas, RFID of short or long distance, sensors biométricos, cameras of context, monitoring of barriers and pilonas, etc. Right now are it installing in Zarautz, with 8 accesses with included control of mopeds, 5 of them managing pilonas and configuration to manage accesses by time limited in commercial schedule. It includes management of bonos of access for neighbours without square of garage.
Our ratios of recognition of matrículas in Spain are in 99% and in Peru, for example, between the 94 and 96%. We have sold equipment even for Senegal and the Chad.

In 2013 50% of our turnover has generated out of Spain and trust that in 2014 surpass this proportion, even widely. We are doing a big effort in Sudamérica, where have commercial opportunities in half dozen of countries. In Peru this year have surpassed the aim of turnover marked and besides with projects very strategic, no only to local level but of face to the bordering countries.
Regarding Portugal, after 3 years working there from Spain have bet by an office in Port wine and in 6 months the expectations are very good. The 2014 goes to be a big year for Kineo in several markets.
