SSI Schäfer Installs shelvings of signposts of four flats for Thisa Gavias

Without any type of automation, the Group Thisa Gavias (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid) has optimised/optimized his processes and has created sufficient capacities for the future with a solution of manual storage of SSI Schäfer. The Group has consolidated like one of the skilled companies in the distribution of materials of installation, heating and sanitary in Spain. The central warehouse in Alcalá de Henares has of some 12.500 articles and resupplies to 86 points of sale. To attain a perfect flow of commodities, the request for the planning and implementation of an efficient logistical solution was awarded to SSI Schäfer.

The project is synonymous of the sinergias inside the business group, that allowed to find the ideal solution for the customer. The Group Thisa Gavias bent initially by a miniload. However, an analysis of objective data realised by SSI Schäfer launched that, in this case, the simplest solution and economic was the best.

The result is a shelving of signposts of four flats and 9,86 m of height that optimises the processes and excludes the frequent necks of bottle in the preparation of requests. At present, the 1.180 modules of shelving only contain roughly 5.000 articles. In this way, the solution offers sufficient capacities for the future and guarantees an improvement on a long-term basis of the efficiency of the warehouse.
