The Government will invest 650 million euros annually in innovative public procurement

The platform for market Biotecnológicos, with the help of the Ministry of science and innovation, together with the Spanish Association of Biocompanies (Asebio), held on 27 September the day public procurement of innovative technology in biotechnology, with the collaboration of the Cotec Foundation and the Centre for Industrial technological development (CDTI).
The seminar, which have been around 90 Spanish biotechnology sector entities, was opened by Luis Cueto Alvarez, Deputy Director General of building of the business innovation of the Directorate-General for transfer of technology and business development of the Ministry of science and innovation, Federico Baeza, Deputy Director General of Cotec and Isabel García, Secretary General of Asebio and representative of the platform for market Biotecnológicos.
Innovative public procurement consists of the acquisition by public bodies of products, goods and innovative services that do not exist and that require the development of new technology.
