Heater Junkers HydroPower-Plus, the 2011 COTEC-Unicer innovation award

The Junkers brand just got a new award. It's the prize for the innovation of product COTEC - Unicer 2011 by the advanced technology used in its thermostatic water HydroPower-Plus heater. This award, which distinguishes the product more innovative in Portugal, appreciates the continuous effort to meet the needs of a world increasingly demanding in terms of comfort and environmental quality.
The Bosch Group has in Aveiro, Portugal heaters gas manufacturing plant, is at the same time the International Centre for research and development for the production of hot water.
The technology used in HydroPower-Plus heater that makes the Junkers heater is first able to combine the selection of temperature with an intelligent gas consumption, that works without plug and at the same time offers full compatibility with solar systems.
The hidrogenerador of this new heater Junkers used the energy that produces the flow of water as a source of energy to turn on the heater, which eliminates the use of batteries which, until recently, were common in many models of water heaters.
