Interview with Martin Franã§AIS, Arburg
Many returned from the K with the idea that was a good show. It breathed some optimism in the sector, filled aisles, many contacts and even sales, do you think that the sector in Spain will recover soon? Do you think that the problem of financing is one of the main right now or the problem lies elsewhere?
Financing is one of the biggest problems to undertake new projects and investments.
Another big problem is the lack of competitiveness of many companies not to undertake such investments. The recovery is underway but it will be slow and will last several years. The weak will stay on the road.
Do you think that there are some industrial segment that will be the to lead the improvement of the sector of injection in Spain?
The central segment is the automotive industry which is the largest by volume and with a very high degree of innovation. Nor must we forget us sectors of the packaging and medical sectors very demanding and in a constant search for increased productivity.
If easy pieces no longer is it can compete with cheaper countries, what it should do the Spanish inyectador? Further automation of processes? More integration of functions?
There are two ways to compete, with a differentiated product that has little competition or with higher productivity. To have a higher productivity should improve the training of personnel, have reliable machinery that consumes less power and enable the save cycle time, as well as to automate production processes in order to compete with countries with a cheaper workforce.
The differentiation is one of the outstanding issues in our country. This investment in r & d are key. More public initiative is missing to support these measures, which are essential to enhance the competitiveness of the sector.
