Interview with Juli caves, FANUC Robotics Iberica
It is already customary to take for granted that in Europe (and Spain) the automation in the plastics industry is already an obligation. This claim, do there is actually in demand for robots of this industry?
When we talk about large companies that use plastic injectors in their processes, there is awareness of the automation and increasingly that the robotic installation do something more than simple removal of the part of the fuel transfer. In most small businesses still have such demand, do not readily see the return on investment or do not have financial resources to make it. The market of anthropomorphic robots in this industry is still minority, against the Cartesians.

Does plenty of room in Spain for the sale of robots in the plastics industry?
There is much room sales, especially for the handling of the pieces. Most of the robots installed, Cartesian, extracted the part of the fuel transfer, but there are human labor behind to make processes required in the same piece, embedded, deburring, etc.
There is room to improve the robots? What technical characteristic is your company focusing to make improvements? (speed, accuracy, cost reduction...).
Of course that there is room for improvement, increasingly ask robots faster, with a larger, easier to program, etc.
