SPECTRO introduces the new spectrometer
Sulphur content in fuels according to the IP532/05 and ASTM D7220-06
SPECTRO, FRX and optical emission spectrometry specialist, has announced the launch of the Spectro iQ. It's the new analyser by FRX polarized, developed for the multielemental analyses of solids, powders and liquids.
For many applications such as analysis of sulphur content in fuels, petrol and diesel, analysis of additives in oil, cement, slag, ceramic or refractory, the solution is the new more sensitive Analyzer polar FRX of Spectro. Also offers a higher level of benefits with a more attractive price than the previous models designed for applications and control processes where it is necessary a great precision and accuracy.
The new "Fuerza-C" light provides levels of sensitivity to elements like Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S and Cl, never previously analyzed with FRX-ED. spectrometers
Benefits to meet the standards ASTM D7220/06 and IP532/05
New regulations require a constant improvement of the sensitivity of detection. The Spectro iQ has a limit of detection of sulfur of ≤ 0.5 mg/kg with what first ranks among table tools available at this time.
The SPECTRO iQ can perform the following definitions according to the new regulations:
• Oil without S. 0 - 10 mg/kg
• S under: 50-100 mg/kg
• S in standard fuel: 300-500 mg/kg
Analysis by EDXRF conventional, is commonly used in determining the level of standard fuel sulphur and low sulphur content. Using you polarized excitation, the Spectro iQ can also analyze fuel with a sulphur content of zero.
In order to facilitate the use of the IQ Spectro, a unique system of "Wizard of methods" that guides the user step by step during the whole process of analysis is included
The Spectro iQ, has shown that it can analyze the sulphur content of fuels with as much accuracy as other standard methods.
The technique shows a greater repeatability and reproducibility compared to the standard technique of EDXRF (x-ray wavelengths for fluorescence).
Based on the excellent sensitivity, repeatability and reproducibility, the results are comparable systems (by energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence) FRXLO of great power.
THE IQ Spectro is a similar to the XEPOS Spectro, but with a smaller size and greater sensitivity of analysis
Other services involved
In order to facilitate the use of the IQ Spectro, a unique system of "Wizard of methods" that guides the user step by step during the whole process of analysis is included. This enables companies to expand the number of workers trained in your organization to use the equipment. The wizard also makes extremely simple for an organization create a new method of analysis.
THE IQ Spectro is a similar to the XEPOS Spectro, but with a smaller size and greater sensitivity of analysis in terms of confined spaces and a concept of Analyzer desktop for limited spaces.
