The researcher of the Csic, whose investigation centres in the catálisis heterogeneous, has published more than 900 articles in national and international magazines, is author of 120 patents, a dozen of them applied in commercial processes, and has written three books. Besides, it is member of the Royal Society of the United Kingdom and has been recognised with the Big Medal of the Academy of the French Sciences, between other distinctions.
“This award represents a recognition to the Spanish chemicals. It is a prize to the silent work and constant, to the effort, and supposes a spur to follow working more, if it fits, in this exciting profession”, has expressesed the researcher of the Csic in Institute of Chemical Technology, mixed centre of the Csic and the Polytechnical University of Valencia.
The researcher of the Csic pretends with his investigation “achieve a more sustainable chemicals and more compatible with the environingingment”. “Avelino has bet a lot by an investigation of quality. Besides, it has stepped more, and it has wanted that his advances arrive to the society through patents and of licences to companies. It represents the public investigation that arrives to the society through the transfer of knowledge”, has commented the president of the Csic, Emilio Lora-Tamayo.
