Iveco Magirus Closes with a big success his participation in Sicur 2014

Iveco Magirus, the division of vehicles of extinction of fires and civil defence of the group CNH Industrial, has concluded with a very positive balance his participation in the 19ª edition of the International Living room of the hygiene (Sicur) that celebrated in Madrid of the 25 to 28 February. More than 300 professionals of the hygiene and the civil defence visited the stand external of the mark where showed two of the last vehicles developed to struggle against the forestry fires, a heavy pumper 4x4 and a Jeep configured like vehicle of support.

Alejandro Martínez, Commercial Director of Magirus for Spain and Portugal, stood out that “Sicur has had a very positive impact for the mark. In spite of carrying very little time like direct trading companies already are very known by the market of vehicles contraincendios, that value very positively our links with Iveco, the capacity of adaptation of our vehicles to any need and the advantage, in front of other manufacturers, to attend any need of postventa through the wide network of Iveco”.

In Sicur, Iveco Magirus showed, for the first time in Spain, the new heavy pumper BRP 3000, built on a chassis Iveco 4x4 of the model Eurocargo and with bodywork Magirus Alufire, that includes the most advanced systems for the extinction of forestry fires or in rural zones of difficult access. His double cabin of aluminium, the biggest of the market inside his category, the innovative hydraulics bomb, with a greater discharge, or his vanguardista distribution, that allows the maximum storage of equipment and tools of work, went the main appeals of the model. On the other hand, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 2.8CRD 4x4, prepared like vehicle of support and destined to the transfer of personnel and tools in operations of extinction and rescue, stood out by his versatility.

Magirus, founded in Ulm (Germany) in 1864 and purchased in 1975 by Iveco, is integrated at present in the group CNH Industrial. It develops and it manufactures vehicles and innovative technologies for the extinction of fires. After the transfer of all the production of heavy trucks Stralis to the factory of Madrid, the plant of Ulm has turned into the centre of excellence of vehicles contraincendios to world-wide level, with a capacity of production of 1.000 pumpers to the year and 200 trucks ladders, what turns it into the biggest of the world.
