FITEC will exceed 100 research projects presented at trade fairs during the 2005

The ninth edition of FITEC, space r & d in exhibition contests, organized by the Fundació Catalana per a research i la Innovació (FCRI), will be held in the framework of Expoquimia, international chemical exhibition (Fira de Barcelona)(, 14-18 November 2005). A stand of 300 square meters with different points of information and a classroom where will be presented over 30 projects of 25 universities and centres of research in the chemical sector will form the Fitec offer in the event. With these data, the Fitec area expected to exceed the figure of 100 research projects of universities and scientific centers presented to companies in fair competitions in 2005.

This year, Fitec (www.fitec.org) has already developed its activities in Expomatex, 14th International Fair of the textile machinery (Barcelona, February 1-5); BTA-Barcelona Tecnoalimentaria, international salon of the food technology (Barcelona, February 18-22); and Ecomed-Pollutec, international exhibition of energy and the environment (Barcelona, March 8-11). They will join Expoquimia next November. In this case, is the second time that goes to the Barcelona's chemical lounge, because that was also present in the previous edition of the 2002.

As a platform specializing in the technology transfer between universities/research centres and companies, Fitec arises as objective in Expoquimia serve as new common framework for researchers, scientists and technologists to publicize their products to the business world in the chemical sectorservices and technologies. In this sense, provide, within one of the most advanced technology fairs in the Spanish State, space and scenario of interrelationship and exchanges, at the international level, among the main actors involved in the r & d: researchers, research centres and technology transfercompanies, investors and technology managers. In addition, it will host various training workshops for entrepreneurs.
