The viticultural sector Catalan against the distribution of European bottoms proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture

The Federació of Cooperatives Agràries of Catalonia (FCAC), Joined it of Pagesos of Catalonia, Joves Agricultors i Ramaders of Catalonia (JARC) and the Associació Agrària of Joves Agricultors (ASAJA) subscribed yesterday, day 9 July in the morning, a conjoint positioning against the proposal of distribution of the bottoms of the measure of restructuring and reconversion of the vineyard, in Barcelona. The Catalan organisations alert that they follow prioritising some obsolete criteria where does not prevail the production of wine of quality.

The viticultural sector Catalan insists in aleatherg the regionalisation of the on state so that Catalonia can have of the economic resources in function of his own needs, and that in no case have to compete with other Autonomous Communities. Especially, they demand that the Catalan Community do not go out prejudiced as like this sucedería to apply the current distribution. 

Even so, and given the refusal of the Ministry of Agriculture, Feeding and Environingingment (MAGRAMA) to deliver the global budget of the Plan of National Support Vitivinícola for Autonomous Communities, proposes that for the distribution of the European bottoms allocated to the restructuring of the vineyard prioritise the production of wines of quality produced inside a Denomination of Origin, in front of the production descontrolada for distillation. In opinion of these organisations, from does more than 10 years perdura a discrimination in the distribution of these bottoms, and that now still can go to more by part of the ministry (wants to reduce almost 0,5% of the bottoms that perceives Catalonia) when prioritising the viticultural surface and the massive production in front of the quality of the product that contributes more value added.

Besides, from three years ago the viticultores Catalan have to produce in conditions of disloyal competition, like consequence of the only payment that receive the producers of other pertinent zones of the production of wine that allocates to distillation of use in mouth. 

In consequence, the agricultural organisations urge to the ministry to that it take into account positive criteria that reward the effort of the work to produce wine of quality, in place to do it in function of historical criteria caducados and obsolete, contrary to the adaptation of the offer to the demand, main aim of the clear-cut plans, in a principle, by the European Union.

The producing sector in plenary urges to the political parties with representation and capacity of influence on the government to that intercedan in favour of the Catalan viticulture, and demand a just deal and equitativo of the viticultores Catalan.
