Iberaice, satisfied by the sectorial agreement to modify the Norm of the Iberian

Through a communiqué, this business community has stood out the maturity and the effort of the organisations to yield in his particular positions of game and can reach a global position of the sector, after months of debates, as well as the support attained around the same.

-Simplification of the Norm, reducing the categories of feeding to only two: acorn and bait.
-Maintenance of the current denominations in relation with the race: “Iberian” and “Iberian pure”.
-Ratification of the racial factor, splitting of 50% of the crossing of the Iberian race with pigs Duroc.
-Creation of new controls, simpler and effective to fulfil: aforo of the fincas, specific register of the exploitations for the production of Iberian in the REGA, control of weight and precintado in slaughterhouse, and establishment of minimum weight of the pieces cured for available on the dot control.
-Productions of acorn: it would establish a system of aforo in the exploitations of dehesa that determine the maximum number of animals that can produce, modulable annually according to the production of acorns.
-Productions of bait: they increase the weights to the sacrifice (of 118 to 120 kg/channel for the average of the batch) and establish additional technical requirements for the exploitations of bait that answer to the needs of the Iberian race (greater surfaces by animal, parks in the outside, etc.), with a transitory period of adaptation of the current exploitations to the new normative.
-Reinforcement of the controls of the norm, improving the coordination of the competent authorities and allowing that the interprofesional participate actively in these tasks. The Table of the Iberian has to transform in organ of coordination and of cooperation, with presence in her of the interprofesional.
