BASF, awarded by the IV Hispanic Prizes-German

BASF has received the third prize of the IV Hispanic Prizes-German 2012 to the Innovation, organised by the Camera of German Trade in Spain and celebrated in the residence of the ambassador of Germany in Spain, Reinhard Silberberg. The secretary of State of Trade, Jaime García-Legaz, delivered the galardón to Erwin Rauhe, responsible maximum of the activities of BASF in the south of Europe.

The jury, composed by personalities of schools of businesses (IESE, Esade and IE), of the business field and of the communication, has awarded the project of BASF 'Technology of storage of salts for plants termosolares'. “Our project is an excellent contribution in the field of the renewable energies, very in the steering of the strategy of BASF ‘We create chemicals for to sustainable future', that bets by the sustainability in his products and solutions. For us, business excellence and innovation are indispensable requirements to achieve a competitive and respectful economy with our surroundings”, affirms Rauhe.

The project recognised of BASF means an important step in the commercial use of the power termosolar. This technology takes advantage of the power of the sun to produce heat and, from her, electrical power. BASF Is leader in the production of nitrate sódico of synthetic origin of high quality that allows to store the power termosolar and free it of efficient and amicable form with the environingingment.
