The market of tractors could close around the 9.000 units sold in 2012

The analysis of the Commission of Tractors of Ansemat (National Association of machinery agropecuaria, forestry and of green spaces) goes back to show his doubts on the real level of market and the needs of the agricultural sector. Inside a stage complicated, the results of the first quarter do not foresee improvements in this market that until the month of February drags a fall of 7,7% (figures of the Official Register of Agricultural Machinery contributed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Feeding and Environingingment). The negative note brings it the meteorological behaviour, decisive if the rain does not appear. A period of drought prolonged could worsen the market, what would affect to the annual development; a first semester with a market to the drop would be difficult to recover in the second semester.

By types of tractors, the tendency to the polarisation of the market in function of the demand follows valid between the more or less professional equipment, tecnificados, powerful and able. Of this way, if the economic crisis has affected negatively the market of the no professional tractor, especially the one of less than 60 CV, seems that the absence of rain would involve to the segment of tractors of high power, that supposes around 21% of the market.

Regarding powers –taking into account that the half power by tractor in Spain is of 109CV–, the market underneath of this average is the one who more suffers in the start of the year, while the situated between the 100 and 150CV sample an interesting growth. Regarding the motorisations, reduce his presence all the segments except the ones of 6 cylinders. Regarding types, seems that the fruteros, in the start of the year hold better the bad results and even observe positive perspectives.

Of this form, the expectations for the market of 2012 today, are worse that the past year, situating the closing of the market around the 9.000 units.
