X National Symposium and VII Iberian on Maduration and Poscosecha of Fruits and Hortalizas

Of the 1 to 4 October 2012, the city of Lleida will receive the 'X National Symposium and VII Iberian on Maduration and Poscosecha of Fruit and Vegetables', organised by the Group of Investigation 'Unitat of Postcollita', formed by researchers of the Universitat of Lleida (UdL) and of the Institute of Investigation and Technology Agroalimentarias (IRTA), ascribed to the Department of Agriculture of the Generalitat. This symposium constitutes an ideal meeting point for researchers and technicians, so much of the public sector like private, that develop activities of R&D in the field of the maduration and poscosecha of fruit and vegetables.

The poscosecha constitutes a basic link for the competitiveness of the sector hortofrutícola of all the Iberian peninsula, with repercussions so much social as economic. By this reason, the aim of this meeting, favoured by the Spanish Society of Horticultural Sciences (SECH) and the Associaçao Portuguese of Horticulture (APH), is the one to tackle thematic relative to the physiology, molecular biology, pathology, biochemical, technology of storage frigorífico, quality and hygiene of cool products and technology of products mínimamente processed of fruit and vegetables.

The scientific program of the Symposium, that will take place in the Auditorium 'Centre of cultures' of the Campus of Cappont of the University of Lleida, will consist of different thematic sessions and will have the participation of different speakers invited. The scientific committee organiser invites to scientists, professional and representatives of the companies with interest in the poscosecha no so alone to assist, but also to present his new results and innovative methods in this field.
