The manager of swine of JARC-COAG has put of self-evident that of the 557.400 females that there is in Catalonia, roughly some 110.000 (20%) find in hands of small and average producers. It treats of some 250-300 exploitations that have bet by the health, the genetics, the efficiency and that in definite are sustainable structures because they are formed by familiar units, distributed by the territory and with worry by the environment.
Both organisations have asked to the DAAM that this type of exploitations have priority in the lines of access to credits and that at the same time facilitate them the possibility to access to the necessary guarantees, since of another way will not be able to adapt to the new normative and will have to abandon his activity.
With regard to the Reform of the PAC, from JARC has insisted in the need to set up measures of market that allow to avoid problematic like the ones of the last days in which the costs of production have been upper to the income perceived by the graziers. A situation in his opinion insostenible.
