Repository hosts the 2nd master in 'Consultancy and management of bovine dairy farms'

Aimed at professionals of dairy, this master's degree aims to improve its preparation in technical and economic advice. Its main objectives include provide an overview of the milk production, strengthen the analytical and methodological capacities, upgrading knowledge and show new tools and methodologies for diagnosis and follow-up of the different facets of the economic and productive process of farms.
Sergio Calsamiglia, Professor of the UAB and Director of the master, appreciated the contribution of these companies and explained how the master will allow specialize 27 professionals of the sector through seven modules of 40 hours each to be held in form regular over the next two years.
The day had the participation of Margarita Arboix, Director general of animal husbandry in the MARM, which explained the need to promote the specialized training in both technical and economic aspects of this depends, in good part, the future of the sector.
Miguel Angel Sierra, director of records, Corporate Affairs and training & development of Pfizer Animal health, said in his speech the commitment of the company with training, aware that the industry needs of these professionals to improve the competitiveness of farms. "Not in vain - noted Sierra - most of the attendees of the first edition of the masters, almost 10 years ago, they are now reference professionals and opinion leaders in the sector".
Finally, Antoni Bandrés, director of Danone milk management, presented the priorities of the firm with respect to its commitment to training and support to farmers. Thus he advocated the formation of highly specialized professionals in the technical and economic management of bovine dairy farms must be accompanied by the development of training plans able not only to understand the changes that the sector needs, but with the ability to implement the recommendations.
