Smagua leaves for the first time Spain and lands in Morocco

The Zaragoza fair organized on May 25 the first Fair Smagua beyond Spanish borders, in particular in the city of Casablanca (Morocco) seeing how this initiative more than covered the objectives of the call. The Hall allowed in this way gather notable professionals in the sector of water and the Moroccan irrigation, as well as many participating companies start commercial contacts between Spaniards and Maghrebi.
The fair of this coastal Moroccan city served to become the ideal platform for business, as well as the gateway to a market of high potential for the production of our country.
To do this, the formation of Feria Zaragoza told as organizational partner to the private company of Medcom and events with the full support of the Government of Rabat and the Association Marocaine of l'Eau Potable et de l'Asseinissement (Amepa).

This successful first edition of Smagua Morocco, held at the same time that the initiative of the Moroccan Government 'l' Eau Expo & Forum', housed in a space of 1200 square meters to a total of 31 Iberian companies.

One of the most prominent guests at this meeting of the water turned out to be the Ambassador of Spain in Morocco, Alberto Navarro González, who fervently supported this event with their presence and participation. Stood, out in the offer of Smagua 2011 several sectors of transport and conveyance of the water, as well as other engineering and technical solutions related to the management of irrigation and urban water sanitation.
One of the most interesting points that took this fair was that it proved to be a first contact many of the participating Spanish companies with the Maghreb, which without doubt served them to open up avenues of marketing and collaboration with this North African country. For this reason, exhibitors showed their satisfaction with the profile of the visitors, who were highly qualified and came from all regions of the country and leading companies in the water sector and public administration.
The exhibition offer at this show also featured a technical conference which discussed topics related to the water sector, which fit to highlight the session dedicated to 'The global perspective of the situation in Spain' or which covered on 'The joint use of surface water and groundwater to better management and search for solutions to drought'.
In summary, this first experience in North African territory was closed with a positive balance as regards opportunities for national exhibitors, which were capable of displaying in a window of the first order all their technology in a market with great growth prospects.
