Growing consumption of wine in Spanish households

By type of wine, the protected by an appellation of origin presented a better evolution in this past year. Without hardly changing its price average (+ 0.4%), wines with DO add to the month of November and in inter-annual terms by 5.2% in value and 3% in volume to 548 million euros, 146 million litres, an average of 3.75 EUR per litre. By autonomous communities Catalonia, Andalusia and Madrid are those of increased consumption in absolute terms due to its size and half is, in general, North of Spain which concentrates the largest per capita consumption.
