Navarre is prepared to become the ecological wine showcase next spring

According to their respective organisers, organic wine is a good time and join forces around Navarre, where they come from the two initiatives, can only be beneficial to both. The two events will have a number of activities open to the public, such as wine tasting and tasting of organic products. This will allow the public you get closer to enjoy organic wines to know the diverse presence of wineries in the area who are dedicated to develop this type of wine.
For its part, the contest of wines of Estella is his date and will feature, in its panel of tasters, relevant experts from the world of the viniculture and oenology. The objective is to increase the presence of contestants wines which last year reached the figure of 102 wines of very different origins, such as Alicante, Albacete, Catalonia, Córdoba, Guipúzcoa, Málaga, Murcia, Navarra and Zamora, which meant an increase of 45 per cent from the previous edition. Among the five categories were awarded two gold stars, 17 star of silver and 11 bronze. The competition of organic wines of Estella is organised by the city of Estella-Lizarra, the Government of Navarra (through the Department of environment and Rural Development), EVENA (viticulture and enology station deNavarra), and CPAEN (Council of organic agricultural production of Navarre).
Now the pageant and FIVE, the international fair of the ecological wine, will go hand in hand in the promotion of the ecological wine. After the success achieved in its first edition (May 2010), the fair has decided to reinforce its commitment in the national and international projection. FIVE, which in its first edition counted with the participation of 53 wineries (Spain, Portugal and France) and the presence of importers of 16 countries préve double the number of wineries, reaching the 80's, and increase the presence of importers. In the latter case, the fair could close its doors with a total of 60 foreign importers. This year the Ministry of the environment and Rural and Marine Affairs joins laferia sponsored by the Government of Navarra (through Reyno Gourmet), next to the city of Pamplona, d.o. Navarra, EVENA (station of viticulture and enology of Navarre) and Caja Rural.
