The low unemployment and growing environmental awareness doubled enrollment of agronomic engineering careers

The employment data place graduates in areas related to the agronomic engineering between one of the professionals with better employment prospects, since according to data from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, 95% find a job within the first year of completion of studies. These figures, far from being depleted as a result of the crisis, maintained his position, in spite even of the ratios of unemployment which are currently handled in our country. And it is that the financial situation is taking Spain, among others, to a rethinking of the economic model, with a return to the agricultural sector involving a radical modernization of the same (new infrastructure of irrigation, new methods of management of the field more informatizados…); that you are, ultimately, tasks of the new degrees offered by the agronomists-UPM ETSI in the field of the European area of higher education.
Another factor that determines these ratios of employment between the agronomists, is the strong impulse that undertake the agri-food industry in Spain. The month of July was known the new measure adopted by the Ministry of the environment, Rural and marine provide an injection in liquidity in new appropriations by an amount exceeding EUR 800 million. This measure forms part of a plan that is providing a liquidity potential of about 2,400 million euros to the agri-food sector as a whole, according to figures of the MARM.
