Espinosa inaugurates the new Park of gardening of Logroño, whose cost has been of 6.2 million euros

The Minister of environment and rural and marine (MARM), Elena Espinosa, yesterday officially opened the new Municipal Park of gardening of Logroño, in the area of El Cortijo, with an area of62,000 m2. Logroñés Mayor, Tomás Santos, accompanied by the owner of the MARM, discovered a commemorative plate of the day during a visit to the La Rioja capital for the work of the opening of the Paseo del Ebro at the height of the horse-riding. A worn work to out by the hydrographic Confederation of the Ebro (CHE), which has meant an investment of 846.000 euros. During the inauguration of this garden area, Espinosa made reference to the mutual collaboration between the public and private sectors to carry out this work, praising the characteristics of this composition which, in his opinion, exceeds the urban gardening service. This facility, in charge of the company Eulen, has cost EUR 6.2 million. The holder of the MARM highlighted the use of renewable energy in the new Park, as well as the approach of the traditional agriculture to urban environments, in line with other cities like London or New York.
The Park of gardening, in the road of the Christ, number 15, counts with a Environmental training centre, floor of composting and plant clean point, technical craft, nursery or a didactic 1.685 m rose2.
