It is agreed a new contract approved for goat milk

The contract established for the cow's milk and sheep, includes aspects such as the milk volumes that will be made available, minimum quality specifications, periods of delivery and identification of the parties, among others. Following this Convention, yet the final drafting, ratification and signature of the producers and the dairy industry, as well as its subsequent publication in the official State Bulletin (BOE).
Responsible for sheep and goats of the Coordinator of organizations of farmers and cattlemen (Coag) in Andalusia, Antonio Rodríguez, made reference to this Convention: "Was not what we wanted originally." "We must continue working, but improves the contractual relationship between farmers and industries".
Spain produces nearly 490 million litres of goat's milk. A production which is concentrated mainly in Andalusia, the Canaries, Castilla - La Mancha, Castile and León, Extremadura and Murcia, which represents 20% of the community total.
